Huron High School, originally constructed in 1969, is a three-story masonry structure with exterior brick veneer. The school facility is situated on 55.5 acres in the east sector of Ann Arbor. The original structure has experienced at least 4 additions over the years, and currently supports Grades 9-12.
Install Monorail. Upgrade the existing pool filtration system: new pool pumps and tanks, new ADA lift for pool, new starter blocks, electrical upgrade with new switchgear and transformer.
Upgrade electrical to accommodate new equipment, installation of new kitchen line serving equipment.
Repair roof and existing greenhouse after storm damage.
Repair and replace brick on exterior wall.
Replace existing counterweight stage rigging system with new electronic hoist system.
Replacement of existing exterior lights throughout the property.
Repair of pavement and parking lots on school grounds.
Replacement of deteriorated entry stairs to athletic wing.
Partial removal of existing exterior wall.
Repair and replacement of existing track retaining wall.
Replacement of building roof system prior to installation of new solar array on roof. The roof replacement for over the pool and auditorium will take place in Summer of 2021 and the roof over the theater will be replaced in 2022.

The football and soccer stadium received a new turf with an organic fill.
Updates and repairs were made to the running track.
Updated the school’s Building Management System (BMS) to the latest version including a new graphical interface and mobile, cloud-based access. The upgrades allow for better systems control, improved occupant comfort and energy efficiency.
Installation of filtered water bottle filling stations throughout the school.
Update to security system on property.
New, flexible, classroom furniture was added to create a more accessible, engaging and student-centered environment.
School tennis courts were refinished.
Dome and bridge construction.
Both the gym and locker rooms underwent upgrades to the HVAC system.
The building’s chiller was replaced.
The athletic wing of the school went through a complete replacement of the HVAC system.
Repair of pavement and parking lot on school grounds.
Purchase of new musical instruments and pianos for music classrooms and auditoriums.
