Slauson Middle School News - December 2025Ann Arbor Public Schools Capital Program continues to perform work for the Slauson Middle School renovation. Current Work, Weather Permitting: Foundation work & steel framework continues on the new gym. Limited tree removal on the Slauson campus, South of the building, will begin in late December. While this can be a noticeable change as vegetation is removed and trees are coming down, AAPS values embodied carbon and is committed to environmental sustainability. Please note: As part of the permitting process, contractors have developed a maintenance and monitoring plan to ensure proactive, consistent, and responsible management of stormwater controls. This includes measures before and after storm events, with particular attention given to Eighth Street. Construction parking and construction access drives are for construction personnel only and to ensure safety, staff and parents should refrain from using construction parking and/or drives. Emails will continue to be sent, to provide updates on campus activities.
