New Dicken Elementary School News - December 2025To support construction of the new Dicken Elementary, the following activities will take place on campus, and are referenced on the site plan below. New vehicle traffic patterns are expected to start in the coming weeks. Parent & bus loop traffic must access the school using Carol & Wimpole streets at that time. The East lot will be temporarily unavailable and a brief closure along Runnymede Blvd. will also take place. An update will be distributed once regulatory approvals have been received and closure dates have been finalized. |

| Current Work, Weather Permitting: Excavating and forming/reinforcing for foundations is ongoing. Work on the Geothermal Heating, Cooling & Ventilation system continues and will potentially wrap up by the end of the year. The construction area will expand and include closing the East parking lot, to begin scheduled installation of a water main utility, starting in December/January, pending necessary approvals.
Please note: The district has received inquiries regarding documented radon levels at existing schools, particularly those located adjacent to construction sites. More information regarding AAPS radon monitoring can be found on the Capital Program website. Construction parking and construction access drives are for construction personnel only and to ensure safety, staff and parents should refrain from using construction parking and/or drives. Emails will continue to be sent, to provide updates on campus activities.
