Slauson Middle School News - July 2026

Ann Arbor Public Schools Capital Program continues to perform work for the Slauson Middle School renovation. Please see below for previous communication as well as future activities. Current Work, Weather Permitting:

  • Demolition of specific interior ceiling, walls and floor in school continues.

  • Gym masonry bump-outs in progress, pictured below.

  • Electrical & Fire Alarm work in gym continues.

  • Due to ongoing construction work, the Slauson Middle School building & campus will be closed, starting June 15th, for the duration of Summer and inaccessible to the public.

Election Day Information: Due to ongoing Summer construction, Slauson will NOT be hosting voting on August 4, 2026. Please visit https://www.a2gov.org/city-clerk/elections/election-day-voting/ to find your polling location for August 4th.

This change will only be in effect for the 8/4/2026 election day.

This middle school renovation is made possible by Bond and Sinking Funds. Ann Arbor Public Schools wishes to thank the Community for the continued support of the Capital Program Bond and Sinking Funds.

AAPS Capital Program’s objective is to transform the student learning experience with the goal of providing for the health, safety, and well-being of all students in high-quality, equitable, and environmentally sustainable schools.
