Slauson Middle School Renovation Update January 2026Slauson Middle School renovations are currently being revised to exclude a geothermal installation, as it is no longer feasible at this school site. This revision will reduce the risks associated with drilling near the expanding Gelman Plume. As a part of our planned assessment of projects, the team also identified changes that could lessen the scheduled construction impact on the School Community. Changes to the project include: Redesigned mechanical (HVAC) System Redesigned electrical system Simplified core design to a skylight opening & floor opening at the third floor Loading dock revisions Room reconfigurations
